Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
These chocolate crinkle cookies are a childhood favorite of my husband’s. His mother was an excellent baker. Somehow I lost her original recipe, but found loads of them as I searched the internet. Nearly all of the recipes were identical. Go with a classic like this and you don’t need to modify too much. I suppose if you love nuts, you could add your favorite to the dough. But what I love most about them is their fudgy, tender, chewy texture. Pair these with a tall glass of ice cold milk or steaming cup of coffee and take in the delicious chocolate flavor.
You know I like to give advance notice so PLEASE NOTE…you need to chill the dough for about 3 hours before baking. When the dough has set up, remove it from the fridge and save yourself time by doing do what I do. Use a small size ice cream scoop to speed up your prep. The cookies barely left the baking sheet before they landed in our mouths. If you love brownies, you’ll love these. Click here for the recipe.
